 Syngas can be used as a standalone fuel for power production or as an intermediate product in chemical industry for the production of synthetic natural gas, synthetic liquid petroleum, ammonia, and methanol.  Syngas can also be converted into liquid fuels including methanol, ethanol, diesel, and gasoline for later use 

Methanol is used for plastics, paints, car parts and construction materials. Methanol also is a clean energy resource used to fuel cars, trucks, buses, ships, fuel cells, boilers and cook stoves.
